Pastor Jim Shrimplin

Meet Pastor

I’m Pastor Jim, and I believe that what you believe about God shapes everything about your life.

My calling is to teach Scripture in a way that is clear, grounded, and practical—not just something we understand, but something we live. I’m currently finishing a Doctor of Ministry degree, continuing to grow in both study and ministry.

Why A Blog?

This blog is an extension of that work. It’s not separate from the pulpit—it’s a continuation of it.

This blog exists to support what is preached each week and to go a little deeper.

Not everything makes it into a sermon. There are always extra insights, background, applications, and questions that are worth exploring—but time doesn’t always allow for it on Sunday morning. This space is where those things find a home.

While this blog is written primarily for those in my congregation, anyone is welcome to read along. Whether you heard the sermon or not, the goal is the same: to help you understand God’s Word more clearly and live it out more faithfully.

Some posts will expand on a recent message. Others may introduce ideas that are coming next. And sometimes, it will simply be a place to reflect on what God is teaching us along the way.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Additional thoughts that didn’t fit into Sunday messages

Why This Blog Exists

The goal isn’t just to hear the Word—it’s to live it.

If this blog helps you think more clearly, grow more deeply, or take one more step in your walk with Christ, then it’s doing what it was meant to do.
