This last couple of weeks I have been preaching on the stewardship of our time. I listed 10 observations about time. These observations are not life changing but reminders that our time is a valuable resource.
This past week a distant family member died. I have not seen her in probably 20 years or more. Her family was by her side and comforting one another as she slipped into eternity. It was a reminder that we only have so much time allotted to us and when its over, it over. We can’t go back and repeat any section of our lives. We can’t go to Amazon and add “more time” to our shopping cart because that is one thing that Amazon doesn’t sell.
Today, I want to ask, “How are you spending your time?” Are you watching too much tv today? Are you working at a job? Are you honoring Christ with your work? Are you spending time with your family? Are spending time in His Word and praying? Are you spending time in fellowship with other believers? How you spend your time indicates what your priority and values are. Does your schedule reflect your values and priorities? If not you might want to think about reevaluating your schedule. I want to encourage to honor and glorify God with how you spend your time!
