Church Family

img_0035Day 6 of my thanks giving list. Today I give thanks to my church family. Now, I know I have a picture of Wesley; the church I currently serve, but my church extends beyond the doors of this church.

My church family includes all the churches I have served in or attended. My church includes people from all kinds of denominations. What gets you into my church family? First, and most importantly, your love for the Lord Jesus Christ! Second, this where the “my” comes in, you and I worshipped together in a specific place over a period of time.

Therefore my church family has people from Kansas (Clinton Parkway A/G fam), Missouri (CBC fam), Minnesota (Crosby A/G fam, Canby Full Gospel fam, Brainerd Church of the Nazarene fam) Iowa (UDTS fam, Wapsi Valley Parish fam, Wesley UMC fam and the rest of IAUMC fam) and people from other parts of the world.

Without church family in each one of these places, I would not be the follower of Christ I am. I would not have made it through the trails of life without you. Thanks!

The great thing about a church family is that we can all have one. You can have a church family. The first step you have to be adopted into the family. Some of my church family calls that being born again. Some of my church family would call this having your hearts strangely warmed. Jesus Christ is waiting for you to call on him. Put your faith in Him, find a good church and God will begin to build your church family too.
